Kerf and material use
A parallel wire web makes multiple cuts in one feed. Actual kerf depends on the wire and cutting conditions; wire diameter alone is not the measured material loss.

A parallel wire web makes multiple cuts in one feed. Actual kerf depends on the wire and cutting conditions; wire diameter alone is not the measured material loss.
Wire pitch and actual kerf determine the as-cut slice thickness. Allow separately for grinding or polishing before specifying the finished dimension.
Review support, fixture clearance and release of the slices. Assess edge chipping and surface condition on your material before fixing the production settings.

Crop and prepare the ingot to suit the machine envelope before loading.

SOM200 fixture before loading. Review support and clearance for the prepared blank.

Parallel wire web and guide rollers. Set the cutting conditions for the material and slice requirement.

Contact-probe inspection. Agree the measurement method and acceptance criteria for your part.
Images illustrate the individual stages; they do not document a single workpiece or one continuous production run.
Send the material, target thickness, surface requirement and inspection criteria. Use the trial to assess the proposed process before choosing production settings.
Start with the workpiece and cutting route. Then compare the listed envelope and slice range with your fixture and finishing requirements.

Dimensions marked × 2 refer to two workstations. Listed slice ranges are not finished-part tolerances. Product images show equipment configurations; confirm the ordered arrangement.

SOM200 covers a listed 200 × 200 × 200 mm workpiece envelope and a 0.3–12 mm slice range. Confirm the required fixture and material before specifying the setup.
Inverted feed describes the feed arrangement. Swing changes the contact conditions during the cut. SOMIS-400 combines both; selection still depends on material, geometry and trial results.
No. Compare width and height as well as length. SOM400 and SOM4-1000D have different workpiece envelopes and loading arrangements.
SOM-220D is a route for smaller blocks and straight slices. SOM4-750D covers longer workpieces and straight or arc magnet parts. Send the radii and final grinding requirements for arc parts.
No. The listed slice range does not specify finished-part tolerance or surface quality. Agree the inspection criteria and finishing allowance, then assess a representative trial.
Send a drawing and the acceptance criteria. We can review the cutting route and the scope of a representative sample trial.
